How do you face talking about something you dont want to talk about? How do you face the truths that have been delayed, tucked away, and avoided for so long? Why would you do it?
Then I ask, “Why wouldn’t you? What is the worst that can happen? What if it changes your life in the best way possible? What if you are scared for no reason?”
What is helpful about avoiding something that lives in your heart, in your soul, and in your mind? How does that serve you best? How does that equate to self care? If you continue to think about it, it means something and is worthy of recognition. Don’t fear your own happiness.
“But how do I do it?” you ask.
“Ahh, yes. I know it hurts and it’s scary but you take a step, say the first word, do the first rep. What’s worse is regret.”
